Logging is demanding work. It’s often dangerous. And there’s long been a stigma associated with the practice. Gunnison’s Dave “Goody” Goodrich admits this much. Still,  he’s worked in the timber industry for the better part of four decades. “I go to the woods everyday,” he said. “Logging is a lifestyle, it’s  not a job.
Hunting Works For Colorado hosted a regional partner meeting this past Friday at the Fred Field Multipurpose Building in Gunnison. Speakers addressed the group’s goals, its 94 partners throughout the state and trends among hunters.
The Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley (CFGV)  distributed grants to a wide variety of nonprofits serving the Gunnison Valley at an awards celebration held last  Wednesday, July 15 at Rainbow Park in Crested Butte.
